I think it should be no insurance excess in the event of an accident. After paying for the no excess insurance I was informed that there is no cover for the the roof or the chassis. Very odd and very vague.

It failed once, nearly resulting in disaster. If it weren't for a friend at Hertz, I would have been stuck. There was a problem with the booking, and when I arrived at the rental location, they couldn't resolve it quickly, despite having the car available. This incident occurred during my second-to-last trip to Christchurch, after which I rented a car from Christchurch to Dunedin. The leg from Nelson to Christchurch was the issue. Aside from that, it's a great way for me to travel and visit friends and family I wouldn’t see otherwise.

Even if the whole procedure was really good, before cheking in I felt insecure about the renting operation. I guess that some confirmation email that clearly shows the link between transfercar and rental operator would be nice.
