I have used transfer car several times now. By the time the additional charges and fuel prices have been added based on the engine size of the vehicle and/ or additional road user charges plus insurance extras, it's not worth the hassle. I would use a standard rental car next time I travel.
Regarding the process to book a transfer car, this is straight forward enough. However, the overall cost turns out more expensive than renting a car. I wouldn't recommend transfer car for renting vehicles because of the additional costs that I discovered later.
