Requirements
- The driver must be at least 25 years old
- A valid, physical, and full/unrestricted driving licence issued in Australia or New-Zealand, -or- valid, physical, full (unrestricted) driver’s licence from your home country must be presented, along with an official English translation or translation document. Digital licences are not accepted.
- Transfercar will not deduct any money off your credit or debit card for insurance purposes. All transactions will be made directly between the driver and the rental operator at time of pickup or via phone once the request is accepted. The driver name needs to be printed on the card
Other requirements
- Relocation bookings include a Damage Liability Amount of $5,000. You will be required to make a $500 deposit to the Rental Operator in order to secure the relocation. The remaining $4,500 security bond will be held/frozen on the same credit card nominated for the deposit 1 business day before your pickup date. The bond amount held of $4500 will be released and your bond deposit of $500 will be fully refunded after the vehicle is returned with no damage or issues. You will be sent a formal email from the team regarding the special requirements for the relocation. A specific route is provided that must be followed during the hire period.

Cancellation policy
Once your relocation request is accepted, a cancellation fee applies at all times and will be charged to your credit card when you cancel, or do not show up for your booking. For cancellations made more than 48hrs ahead of pickup, a cancellation fee of $25 will be applied. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of pick-up time) will be charged $50, and no-shows will be charged $100. Cancellations must be made by logging into "My Transfercar" and selecting "Cancel trip" under the booking. Please be aware that the rental operator might have a separate cancellation fee beyond Transfercar's policy.
